Support for the Sustainability of Papua Special Autonomy

  A total of 13 central highland tribal heads who are members of the Rukun Keluarga Tengah Highlands (RKPT) in Keerom Regency, Papua , expressed their aspirations regarding the planned revision of Law (UU) number 21 of 2001 concerning Special Autonomy (Otsus) in Papua. They expressed their support for the extension of the Special Autonomy Law or what is often referred to as Otsus Volume II. The chiefs who are members of the Keerom FKPT include the Mee Tribe Chief in Keerom Piet Giay, the Middle Mamberamo Tribe Chief at Keerom Pius Wanimbo, the Yahukimo Tribe Chief at Keerom Markus Asso, the Tolikara Tribe Chief Paleli Enembe, the RKPT II secretary Wim Mabel and Y Riantus W representative of RKPT. It's just that there are a number of points that are requested to be changed so that in the future the policies issued by the government are more useful and right on target for indigenous Papuans ( OAP ).
